Home & Home Office  - Everybody knows
Dell. They offer great computers, many at nicely
discounted prices. Still, their prices tend to be
a bit higher than those listed above. So
downgraded by one star.

Geeks Discount Outlet - Offers a fair
selection of dirt-cheap refurbished desktop and
notebook computers, and a fewer number of

Gateway  - Gateway is
known for their muscle PCs used by gamers. If you
can spare the extra cost of these premium
machines, Gateway is the way to go.

Mall  - Enormous
selection of computers to choose from, with a
handy search feature that allows sorting by
price, manufacturer, or feature. PC Mall sells
brand new, overstocked, and refurbished
computers. Downgraded by one star due to high
return rates in recent weeks.
Dell
Business Center  - Similar to Dell
Home & Home Office, above, but caters to
businesses. So don't expect as low a price unless
buying in quantity. Shop here if you're looking
for a powerful work station or server.
Overstock.com - Usually a large
selection of PCs to choose from, often at the
lowest prices available. Overstock sells both
surplus and refurbished desktops and laptops.
Prices are so low that the newer systems go fast,
so don't delay if you see what you want.

few new systems. Note that Overstock also offers
great prices on electronics, cameras, and more.

NextDayPC.com - Offers
competitive prices on an impressive selection of
computers. Next Day PC really shines when it
comes to custom configured PCs, which they refer
to as SysteMax. Best for orders over $500 because
shipping is free (as of Fall 2004-- double check
to confirm). Downgraded by one star due to
higher-than-average return rates in recent weeks.
