International Sales

New Wave Instruments sells direct from the factory in most cases. However, some international customers prefer the convenience a local sales representative provides, in terms of taking care of shipping, customs, and support. Either method is acceptable to us, so you should choose that which is best for you. Regardless of your choice, rest assured that our engineers and customer service staff in the United States are always available as a resource for you and your needs.

Payment Terms

Upon credit approval, purchases made from within the United States will be billed on a net 30 account, unless otherwise specified when you apply. Without credit approval, pre-payment in the form of a company check, cashiers check, or money order is required.

For international orders, either pre-payment or an irrevocable letter of credit for the full amount is required with the purchase order. Whichever form of payment, it should be negotiable and payable at the counters of a US bank. The letter of credit should state that all bank charges inside and outside the country are for the opener's account, not the beneficiary's, and that transshipment is to be allowed.

For international orders from certain countries (e.g. China), a 15% deposit is required with a letter of credit, from which the deposit is deducted. The deposit is forfeited by the customer in the event the shipment is not cleared from customs within a reasonable period of time, thus requiring shipment back to the factory.

All shipments, domestic or international, are FOB factory.
